Following the success of Health and Safety Week 2015 where the focus was on occupational health and inspiring organisations to spread the message of the importance of acknowledging issues with health in the workplace, Health & Safety Week 2016 is celebrating excellence in health and safety.
As part of the focus Safety & Health Expo will be hosting awards for Rising Stars in Health and Safety and celebrating diversity in the profession with #SHE1000.
Rising Stars in Health & Safety
To celebrate the future leaders of the profession, we invite you to nominate a Rising Star in Health and Safety as part of UK Health and Safety Week 2016.
Supported by the British Safety Council, RoSPA, IIRSM, BOHS, the Association for Project Safety and Acre Frameworks, the Rising Star in Health and Safety award ceremony will take place at 12.30pm on the 23rd June at Safety & Health Expo, and the winner will receive a whole host of prizes to provide a perfect springboard for their career.
The submission deadline is 20th May 2016. Judging will take place the following week.
Following the successful launch of the Women in Health and Safety network in 2015, Health & Safety Week is committed to increasing the representation of women working in the profession.
At #SHE1000, hundreds of women who work in the protection and management of buildings and people will come together to be part of an interactive, hour-long session run by networking expert Heather white.
Taking place on 23 June from 1.45 to 3pm at Safety & Health Expo at ExCeL London, #SHE1000 will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and network with peers and influential people in their profession.
